GIRD has led a community initiative for tree planting in Sabuli Town. In partnership with Sabuli Wildlife Conservation, GIRD planted 150 trees to mitigate the impacts of drought and support the resilience of affected communities in Wajir.

The project was supported by women group associations and the Wajir County Government, over a period of 4 months from September 2021.
