Somalia Joint response with the Somalia Midwife Association, GIRD has supported to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the communities of Gurucel.

GIRD distributed hygiene products including soaps, sanitary pads, and set up hand wash facilities in the areas. GIRD has also conducted community awareness campaigns, through the public and media including posters, and radio to spread the health implications of COVID-19 and encourage safer practise, avoiding large crowds and symptoms of the disease.
